Introduction to QA and the KLOEs

Whilst the KLOE Audit Tool provides a useful way to ‘map-out’ quality across services, some providers and managers also find it helpful to have a better understanding of the whole concept of quality assurance (QA) and how the CQC approaches it during their inspections.

Therefore, Therapeia can provide a one-day training programme which provides an introduction to QA within the adult social care context. This focuses particularly on how the CQC’s five domains and 25 key lines of enquiry (KLOEs) are used to develop a ‘quality framework’ which can then serve as a basis for gathering evidence of quality across the whole service. The training can also be used as an introduction to using the KLOE Audit Tool, because it explains to managers and providers how best to gather evidence for each KLOE using the tool.
